Funding and finance

Funding and finance

Our work would not be possible without the generous funding of many donors who support our vision of working towards a world free from violent conflict.

We thank all the donors who support us and make our work possible. We receive most of our funding from governments and the United Nations, together with some charitable trusts and foundations. This enables us to design and implement peacebuilding programmes that support our purpose of working with communities and their leaders to prevent violent conflict and promote lasting peace. We are committed to managing the donated funds effectively, and to continuing to diversify our funding sources.

Our funding partners

In 2023-2024 we received funding from:

  • The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office
  • The European Union
  • The United Nations Development Programme
  • The Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs
  • Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale
    Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)
  • The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands
  • WeWorld GVC
  • Helpcode Italia

How we spend our funds

In 2023-2024, 90% of our funds were spent directly on peacebuilding work with our partners across the regions in which we work. The remaining 10% of funds were used to ensure the smooth-running and sustainability of our organisation, which includes essentials such as office rent and insurance, and development of new methodologies and analysis.
