The Peaceful Change Podcast: the future of peacebuilding series

The Peaceful Change Podcast explores the future of peacebuilding

The Peaceful Change Podcast explores how international peacebuilding can most effectively prevent, manage, resolve and transform violent conflict. On the Peaceful Change Podcast, peacebuilding experts working at local, national and international levels share their experiences, reflections, and hard-won lessons about how to confront war and build peace. This Podcast is produced by the Peaceful Change initiative and is hosted by Fleur Just.

The future of peacebuilding series

Due to changes in funding in the aid sector, PCi is, sadly, closing its doors. In this final series of the Peaceful Change podcast, Fleur Just and Tim Molesworth reflect on their thoughts about peacebuilding in two countries in which they worked – Libya and Syria – and also on the future of peacebuilding.

These podcasts are possible thanks to grant funding provided to PCi by the PeaceNexus Foundation, a fantastic foundation supporting peacebuilding actors around the world. For more information on their work go to peacenexus.org

Episode 1: future peacebuilding needs in Libya

In this first episode of the new series, Fleur Just and Tim Molesworth look at the nature of conflict in Libya, talk to their colleague, Bashar Eltalhi, who was PCi’s Libya country manager, and reflect on what still needs to happen in Libya.

Episode 2: future peacebuilding needs in Syria

In this second episode, Fleur Just and Tim Molesworth look at recent changes in the situation in Syria, talk to their colleague, Rajaa Altalli, a Syrian peacebuilder from the Centre for Civil Society and Dialogue, who was one of PCi’s partners for many years, and reflect on challenges and priorities facing the country.

Episode 3: the future of peacebuilding

In this final episode, Fleur Just and Tim Molesworth bring their perspectives on where peacebuilding has come from, what challenges are currently facing the peacebuilding sector and what peacebuilders should do about those challenges moving forwards.
